What a great start to a series. In this installment we meet Julia - the disowned heiress - who is stuck between hurt and betrayal. Betrayed by father who has alot to answer for and a lover who betrayed then tossed her aside.
Brandon has the bad boy thing in full effect. From the wrong side of tracks and with a conniving mother, Brandon isn't willing to return to his uncertain future.
In this installment you can feel the pull between these two characters and so far this had been entertaining to read.

Okay, in an act of stupidity he kidnapped her. The heroine (Julia) is better than I am ... Brandon would definitely have a permanent limp. Like the first installment, there is really good chemistry between the two leading characters. Brandon is truly Julia's hero but unfortunately with all the past hurt, getting back to their normal will be hard. Trust issues. Just waiting to see who the true "bad guy" is in this.
This is a great quick read.

I really hope that this isn't the final installment of this series. Really seems that there could be another installment in there. Then again ... the ending the author provided was very smart and made the best resolution (in regards to the family business) for both leads. Now, the idea that either character is in the relationship for the money has been removed. If this was the last in the series ... good ending but spent alot of this entry in Julia's head while she puzzled over her feelings for Brandon. BTW, I would have kicked Brandon to the curb last installment due to the prostitute thing. Though he is truly Julia's hero, there would have been some real payback for that.
